Introduction
In February 2006 Governor Gregoire signed a Regulatory Improvement Executive Order that said, "Citizens and businesses deserve state agencies that will be innovative and creative in simplifying their procedures for permits, licenses, regulatory compliance and all other business operations".

In response to this Executive Order, the Governor's Office of Regulatory Assistance along with several other state and federal regulatory agencies worked together to create this new one-stop permitting service.

Currently, this site offers information about the Joint Aquatic Resource Permit Application (JARPA) process as well as special services for Washington State Department of Transportation projects, including online application and review.   We are working to add other permits to this site and to expand our special services to other applicants.

Let us know what you think
We want to make this site a valuable resource for everyone who might need an environmental permit. Send us your suggestions so we can update and add information to the site.  If you have a general comment we want to hear that too.

Select jurisdictions across the state have the opportunity to use the updated, easier to read and easier to use version of the JARPA form. If your project is being constructed in one of the following jurisdictions you can use this form.  All JARPA 2008 forms will need a Unique Project Identifier (UPI).

NOTE:  Please be aware that the cities and counties below are accepting JARPA 2008 in some instances but asking applicants to use JARPA 2007 in others.  Please contact your local jursidiction to determine which JARPA is right for your project.
